I have encountered the same problem.
It is frustrating to say the least.

I have a couple of 94 squadron images but I don’t have dates for them.
I will send them by e-mail anyway in case they help.

I believe the incident on 1o May was the famous one in which he was attempting to change the drum on a Lewis gun. But this happened in a Martinsyde Scout; as usual I am only interested in his flights in a B.E!!

to the best of my knowledge No. The only WW1 aeroplane with batteries were those powered by the American Liberty engine which had car type coil ignition and so had an 8 volt battery.

    Hi Brian,
Matryn was flying B.E.2a serial 385 throughout July 1914, and flew it to France on 13 August, so it seems resaonabvle to assumne that he flew if down from Montrose, starting on 3 August.
I wrote an article about him for the journal not long back, which describes his activities in some detail.
    Paul.

    4721 was tested on floats.
I have a photo of this and of 4723. Both are pretty poor quality but I will e-mail them to you
    Paul.
