    Hi.

I have a copy of ‘ Sky Fighters of France ‘ and wonder if there is any publication that has good reproductions of the artwork that Farre produced relating to WW1 aviation.

I have yet to read this book, but the reproduction of pictures is understandably of low quality.

It would be nice to fully appreciate the work he produced .

Can anyone help direct me to a source.

    Many thanks, Simon.

    Hi.

Have now read this book. It is interesting, although it does seem to just end suddenly.

With reference to his artwork. I have seen a few reproductions in books, but looking at this particular publication, it is such a shame that the pictures [ paintings / sketches ] cannot be seen in anything but tiny format black and white.

I can only repeat my question to the experts. Has anyone compiled this artwork in a better format such that it can actually be appreciated. This guy seems to have been a very accomplished artist.

    Regards, Simon.

‘Over the Front’ Vol 31 No 1 (Spring 2016) has an article by Douglas Lantry on Henri Farre’s art.
