Hello
On 6 April 1917 Flight Sub-Lieutenant L.M.B. Weil of the RNAS No 1 Squadron flying a Sopwith Triplane was shot down and killed by Hauptmann Paul Von Osterroht. His was the first Sopwith Triplane which was shot down in combat. The squadron also lost another Triplane that day flown by Flight Sub-Lieut. N.D.M Hewit which was hit by ground fire.
I have read that various pictures exist of the remains of one of these two triplanes shot down that day. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of these pictures?
Thanks
Ronnie
