Does anyone have in-depth information as to the exact location of Roland Garros’ forced landing/crash site and the events surrounding the event. This would be when the Germans observed the steel plates on the propeller of his aircraft resulting in the Fokker MG interrupter. Supposedly, Garros carried semiautomatic carbine with him and this was found at the scene by locals who kept it. I would like to be able to verify this story-
