I have a desk ornament which belonged to a ‘Jock’ Turner was died during the Great War.
I have two candidates for who Jock may have been:
Lt Frederick Harry Turner MC (10th Glosters attached RFC), KIFA 10.1.1917, in FE2d A1937, 46 TS, over Bramham Moor, Leeds – pilot error. Captain R Burdon killed also.
2Lt Ralph Pool Turner, 1 Squadron, MIA 9.3.1916 in a Morane Saulnier N.
Both pilots came from Bucks (High Wycombe & Langley, Slough) – can anyone tell me whether either were known as ‘Jock’ ?
