I am looking for information on the use of Caudron G.4 bombers by 4 and 5 wings RNAS. What dates did these wings begin using the Caudron operationally and on what dates were they replaced? I‘m also interested in finding out which cockades were used on the Caudron in RNAS service. If they were used by the RNAS after the middle of 1915 were there cockades changed from red and white to the standard RFC cockades?
Thanks,
Michael
The Air-Britain book ‘Royal Navy Aircraft Serials and Units, 1911-1919’ will give you aircraft details. Note that not all the Caudron GIV were French built.
Thanks Nick. That is a big help.I have come up with a serial list for some Caudron G.IVs built in Britain (3333-3344)but there were no letters assigned to the serials.
