Query resolved. I rang Norman and he says that |Q|he could have phrased it better.|Q| As 12 out of the 17 names mentioned I know to be dead I assumed the remaining five were also. My mistake.

Included are Greg van Wyngarden and Stewart Taylor. I have not seen this reported anywhere. If correct this is sad news. I was in touch with Greg very recently.

In my opinion, what makes this new edition worth having is the greatly improved design, plus the illustrations. Quite a few of these are new, all much better reproduced than in the original,in no small part due to the superior quality of the paper throughout the book. In a recent review, I highly recommended it.
