Can anyone suggest a good source on the Army Manoeuvres of September 1913, preferably with the same standard of detail of air support operations as Peter Wright’s Journal article on the 1912 Manoeuvres ? Particularly I am interested in the activities of 4 Squadron.

The book ”Futile Exercise? – The British Army’s Preparations for War 1902-1914′ by Simon Batten, Helion, 2018, has Chapter 5 on ‘The 1913 Exercise’, this includes the RFC contribution. However, it may not be in the detail you require depending on what that is? It does reference TNA WO 279/52 ‘Report on Army Manoeuvres 1913’ which may also be of use.
