I just purchased this book from the States, and the author kindly sent a second copy free of charge [ I have his other Lafayette book ].

If anyone in the UK is interested in a free copy [ 350 pages ] and will send me a cheque for £3.50 I am happy to send it to you.

I guess the question is “Is the book any good ?”

The online reviews seem to be restricted to the Kindle edition, and obsessed with the inability of Kindle to deal with illustrations

OK. You’ve convinced me. I am trying to downsize my library (due to lack of space), but I guess that I can always put it on the ‘disposals’ pile if needs be.
