One of my relatives flew with 11 Sqn while they were stationed at Spich in 1919. I recently visited the site and it’s entirely built over with houses. I have a few photos from my relative’s collection that were taken at Spich, as well as a photo in L.A. Strange’s “Recollections of an Airman” showing the line-up of Brisfits taken from the top of the hangar.
I’m wondering if anyone out there in C&CI-land has any additional images of Spich or, ideally, a map of the airfield? I’m just trying to put some context to my relative’s time there.
