On 24.8.1915 Gilbert Mapplebeck was killed while flying a 2RS Morane.

He was doing aerobatics and, while 100 feet from the ground, the aircraft was seen to dive suddenly and bury itself 2 feet in to the ground.
Mapplebeck was injured serverely, and died almost instantly.

I have seen a number of references that Mapplebeck was flying a Morane N Bullet, though with no reliable source for this information.

The Casualty Record Card is no help.

I cannot place a Morane N at 2RS in August 1915, so assume that he must have been flying a Morane G/H: can anyone confirm ?
