I am having trouble deciphering some German weather terms. Any assistance will be welcome.
They were used in the war diary of a naval zeppelin base during 1918.

Wetter: Beleuchtung 2. Aus Westen tiefere Wolkenbank heranziehend.
The problem term here is Beleuchtung 2, which basically translates to Lighting 2. As the time was just after sunrise I?? guessing it is a percieved or measured light level, possibly from a scale 0-10.
Wind: W.S.W. 1,5 doms.
The problem term here is doms. Clearly it is an indication of wind speed, possibly similar to the Beaufort Scale, but what does 1.5 doms convert to?
