This aircraft was purchased in 1914 by the Canadian Government for the the shortlived Canadian Aviation Corps which accompanied the 1st Contingent of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
Apparently, the aircraft came across the Atlantic still assembled, as deck cargo, and arrived in a poor state. Supposedly, the Burgess-Dunne went to CFS, but I can find no record of its use there; certainly it doesn’t appear to have been taken on charge by the RFC.
So, did it go to CFS for possible repair, and was scrapped instead ?
