You are addressing a society of historians, some of whom have/had an interest in static scale model aircraft, but I have yet to encounter anyone in the Society with a burning interest in flying scale models, let alone r/c. So, perhaps this isn’t the best forum for such a question ?
You could try World War One Aeroplanes at WW1 Aeroplanes That Journal has a regular column on scale models, both static and flying.
