I would question whether the C type was an Aviatik.
14 Squadron regularly made references to encounters with ‘Aviatiks’ whereas none were operated by any of the Pascha units in Palestine or Syria.
Thus, like ‘Taube’ and ‘Fokker’ on the Western Front, I rather think that ‘Aviatik’ was adopted as a generic term that endued longer in the sideshows.
